The leader of a Baltimore nonprofit got an up-close and personal look at the destruction caused by the war in Gaza.
Sean Callahan, CEO of Catholic Relief Services, said the devastation and desperation there is clear.
“In the morning, afternoon and night, you have jets buzzing overhead. You hear bombing in the distance. You have drones and helicopters over you. You have these poor people that have moved around and it’s very difficult,” he said.
Callahan toured the area and visited the group’s office there to get a better idea of what assistance they need, as many civilians have been forced out of their homes by warfare.
“Our teams put some solar panels on the roof, had their computers there, lined up people and we were doing a distribution to make sure the right people were getting assistance,” he said.
Food, shelter and hygiene kits are the physical items Gazans need most. The 45 CRS employees are also working to lift spirits among residents. One employee’s 6-year-old son is struggling to grasp the situation.
“He turned to his dad and said, ‘Dad, we’re only children. Why are they trying to kill us?’ and it just broke your heart seeing this young kid trying to understand that. Then, I spent the evening with them and I was talking to him and his wife, and she was saying how her sister and all of her children were killed in one of the bombings,” Callahan said.
Despite the circumstances, Callahan said they are resilient, but eager for the conflict to end.
“I don’t know what the endgame is. I’m hoping the endgame comes pretty soon and it’s a stopping of violence and we can get back to assisting people and respecting the human dignity on all sides,” he said.
Nah. They were fine with it. Just like they were fine with JP Deuce anathematizing himself by kissing a Koran.
Is not Rome aligned with Satan now?
It is called war. Don’t like it? don’t start it.
Catholic relief services. The same group assisting illegals to cross our borders by the thousands.

Hmmmm... THAT’S why ya think long and hard before you start a war with your neighbor!!😜
Well, they consider kissing a koran and moving molesting priests around from parish to parish so they can continue molesting kids to be “saintly” behavior so I would say it is a yes. They have been for a while.
