My husband has a Resmed so the question is some what academic in my case but if it takes more then ten years it is probably not something to worry about. Your machine will be dead before then. They are not made to last.

I very carefully clean his machine with vinegar and water weekly and make sure that we only use distilled water in the machine. The CPAP cleaning systems, which are expensive, are totally unnecessary if you do that.
