Military action thousands of miles away against a country that is no threat to the homeland does not make any sense.
In reality there is very little time military action should be used and it should be authorized by the US Congress such is the gravity.

I believe that we’re in Syria to take out Assad, but the rest is a little different. Europe gets the vast majority of their gas from Gazprom in Russia. We want to stop that. There have been big gas discoveries in the middle east, but to get that gas to Europe, it has to go through a pipeline that crosses Syria. Putin being friends with Assad means that Assad isn’t going to allow it. So, Assad has to go.
1. The US is being invaded.b2. Mexico is commiting an act of war against us by allowing said invasion. 3. We had Iran contained, bottle up, and weakened, with the sanctions and threat of force. I want our troops almost nowhere, but for us to respond with overwelming fo4ce if attacked.
