What the hell is going on? This would seem to be a maintenance problem but yet another Boeing incident.

Yes, Boeing has had its issues recently, but I'm getting sick and tired of headline writers blaming every single maintenance issue on the fact that the airplane was a Boeing.

Some facts: For long haul jets, there's only two manufacturers - Boeing and Airbus, who each have roughly 50% of the market. So any problem will be a 50-50 shot that it's a Boeing aircraft.

The Boeing 757 was last produced in 2004, so the NEWEST 757 in existence is 20 years old.

This was a maintenance issue on a 20+ year old aircraft, and had nothing whatsoever to do with a flawed Boeing design.

I'd be curious to know when was the last A&P inspection and where was it performed.

If we find out Achmed was the guy in charge of checking/bolting those window/doors, or servicing on the wheel crew . . . . . (gott'a stop right here . . . I'm too old to be carted off to prison)

I”m wondering now about intentional damage/sabotage from someone/somewhere else. What airlines are up for very big competitions for new planes? Or just plain old terrorists.

but yet another Boeing incident.

About half of all commercial airplanes flying are Boeing. That is a lot of airplanes of many different 7X7 models total, all with exceptional safety records..

Don't drink the media hype kool-aid about this.
