The pro sports machine is successful for one major reason.....White people spend money on it.
Personally I don’t understand why people feel the need to live their lives vicariously through a favorite sports team and or player(s).
Seems like a terrible waste of time and money IMO.

I have better things to do with what little time off I have had over my lifetime.
I played two sports when I was in K-12 then joined the military where my time off was quite limited. Watching sports was a waste. Until the year before whats-his-name started kneeling the total amount of time I watched football of any kind probably totaled maybe three games, and then just snippets of games, never a whole game, even when my alma matter was playing. I admit to watching some hockey. I still love that game.
I actually got interested the year before the kneeling started and I actually watched two or three total games. When the kneeling started I never watched a second of any game until this season when my home team actually got into the playoffs. They haven't had a championship season since a year before I was born and I have watched at least three games. Of course I fully retired last year so I have time now and then to waste.
I don't think that's the case in the NBA anymore. Luxury boxes? Yes. Regular seats? Probably not. Personally I don’t understand why people feel the need to live their lives vicariously through a favorite sports team and or player(s).
We all needed an escape. That's why many fans stopped following NBA after LBJ lectured us on BLM.
