I started here in 1998. The place has always had nasty food fights. Some of us had to leave for awhile because W. Bush was a huge lightning rod and people like me hated him after being duped into voting for him, twice. The boss told us to stop blasting him and it’s his website.
We’ve always had a large moderate to left establishment contingent. And if you post anything outside the norm, you will get pounded. I don’t know who it was that said you gotta have a thick skin.
I enjoyd my knockdown-dragouts. I lived in liberal Cleveland; Ohio at the time. This was the only place I could come to and have fighters who agreed with me. Family and friends and co-workers were all Democrats. My wife and I were the only Conservatives in our respective families. I enjoyed not fighting alone for a change.
