‘Music is to me the light’ For this piece Charlotte Higgins sets the scene at the National Philharmonic Hall in Warsaw, where the stakes are very high for everyone on stage. Violinist Joshua Bell and conductor Dalia Stasevska are on an intensely focused mission to get the opening bars of a concerto just right – and not just any concerto, but one by the virtually forgotten Ukrainian-born composer Thomas de Hartmann. The musicians of the International Symphony Orchestra Lviv (INSO-Lviv) are giving it its first commercial recording since the work’s premiere in 1943. They will then perform it in a concert of Ukrainian and Polish music in Warsaw.

Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Ukraine’s commander in chief, said his air force had destroyed an A-50 long-range radar detection aircraft and an Il-22 control centre plane. Both were flying above the Sea of Azov on Sunday when they were hit at 9.10pm local time.
‘Spend Russia’s money now for Ukraine’s good’ The rich G7 countries froze Russian central bank reserves after the invasion of February 2022, and there have been growing demands from Kyiv for the assets to be seized and spent on reconstruction. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development’s chief economist Beata Javorcik

Frankie Yankovic!!!
We are extremely fortunate to be living in the Holocene Interglacial period.
All of today’s Climate Cretins would be screaming for coal mines to be built by the thousands, if we even approached lower temperatures like those in the mid 1600’s.

LOL - I almost posted a picture of a poke sallet but I wasn’t sure how regional those are.
Agree
The Duran routinely has guests with a wide variety of political leanings. If you actually watched them, rather than robotically relying on Joe Bidet Regime intelligence operatives’ ”fact checks”, you’d refrain from posting such reckless claims.
For crying out loud, Alexander’s mother was Melina Mercouri. He himself was interrogated by the Greek junta’s goons in the 1970s. Right-wing my arse.

This is an exciting red and green rock.
Yay! Yusef brought the keeshka back! :D

I grew up in Cleveland where Frankie was known as the Poke-a King. He had his own tv show, Poke-a Varieties.

What is it?

Yes, and it was still round and firm and fully packed.
Poke is a weed it’s toxic. LOL It has to be boiled a few times. It tastes kind of like spinach to me.
In my neck of the woods, it tends to be served with diced tomatoes, sliced avocados, maybe some cucumber and spring mix and proteins of your choice. They’re pretty good, actually.
Yes, that is a very exciting rock.
It may be too exciting for us to meditate on. It could make us angry, not kind, and mommy wouldn't like that.

I googled it. I have it growing on my land. I tried to hack some of it down with a big knife and the stem is hard to cut. I tried digging it out and the roots grow deep into the soil.
I think I’d have to be starving to eat it.
