Farmers generally care about their animals from a humane point of view as well as the realization that sick and mistreated animals are not as valuable.
They will continue to come after farmers until they make it so difficult that the feds have to take it over. Then the feds can better control what we eat and move us toward more plant-based diets etc.
I know of no better steward of the land and their animals than
the American farmer/rancher. They have to be it’s their livelihood.
