It’s the elephant in the room when you look at a map of Eurasia.
Russia has 11% of the world’s land that is suitable for agriculture. China, with a vastly larger population, has only 7%. There are already numerous Chinese farmers in Russia. And then there is the matter of all those natural resources, in particular, timber, for those seemingly limitless forests. The documentary shows the modern machinery that Chinese firms are using to harvest all that timber.

The issue is like watching a wild-card game from way-up in the cheap seats-no dog in the fight. One country is overpopulated and the other has what it wants. Combine Asian mentality with caucasian(western) mind think you can then get WWF entertainment. I’d take bets on when we see 1969(Amur river) repeat.
What’s the current birth rate in China? It’s below replacement.
There’s an article on FR from yesterday or today.
The only way China goes after Russia would be if the west was destroyed.
Concern about China and/or Russia is useless while we go down the toilet.
Without massive correction, the US will become North Brazil.
*The only ideology they share is a strongman ruler. In order to have deep, long-lasting ties, people should share languages or values. And on that score the Chinese and Russians may as well be on different planets.* I love it!
*The Chinese have the money and the know how to do it peacefully or so they are proving.* Why do it peacefully if the back door is wide open?
Direct political control is not needed in order to establish friendly, cooperative relations between a large, heavily populated nation and a large, thinly populated nations.
See, for example, US and Canada.
In thirty or fourth years there won’t be enough Russians to stop the Chinese from walking into Siberia unopposed.
Whatever Russian women are left will be concubines for Chinese warlords.

Point being China doesn’t need more land for a growing population.
Hoping our enemies are going to take each other out is useless.
How’s our border?
How’s our military?
How’s our economy?
How is stability around the globe?
And unlike Muslims and Christians, China doesn’t have a mission to change how other people believe, think and live.

Russia, very simply, is NOT the 21st century, post-modern West, through which we in the USA view the world. It is not controlled by bankers and neo-marxists, who are both happy to import millions of foreigners, so they can buy cheaper strawberries in the super-market or have an endless supply of fake voters.
If we haven’t noticed the last two years, Russia protects its borders, and has a strong sense of national identity, culture and nationhood.
*cooperative relations between a large, heavily populated nation and a large, thinly populated nations. See, for example, US and Canada.* Nope. 2 christian nations. Too much in common.
*What’s the current birth rate in China? It’s below replacement. So is Russia’s* Kinda hard to do it in the cold. Guess which group is reproducing most.
*Hoping our enemies are going to take each other out is useless.* True but what about human nature? Think the wild-card game again. First the buildup. Then Cleveland gives up after the first interception-stopped blocking. That led to the 2nd one. Giving up gave them the comfort of knowing they’re going home the next day after they’ve made their money. What does it have to do with Siberia? It’s the buildup before everyone knows all is lost. Nukes vs. people. It would be awesome. Do you think Putin would help us prevent a conflict over Taiwan?
That's exactly where we are headed.
China’s is 0.88 — just read that this morning — but no idea of Russia’s.
Correction:
That’s China’s birthrate of 0.88 child/woman of childbearing age.
Roy he US and Canada share way more I common than the Russians an Chinese
You’re delusional
Make Siberia Chinese Again!
The topic is about China and Russia. Stay on topic.
“I’d take bets on when we see 1969(Amur river) repeat.”
No; that was a relatively localized schoolyard spat compared to what we can expect if such a squabble over land between the two erupts in the future.
