I thought The Thing (2011) was pretty good but the critics didn’t. It was a prequel to John Carpenter’s The Thing
(1982). It details the incidents at the Norwegian encampment that preceded the American’s. The film ends with them chasing the dog in the helicopter scene from the 1982 movie............. ...............

I saw that, and I liked it too. I thought they did a very good job of leading up to The Thing.

It was definitely 100,000% better than the crap they make today :/
