Aren’t plastics generally carbon containing?

Wouldn’t that make them, by definition, organic?

Forget the meat substitutes. Next will be massive push by the feds for plastic substitutes. I am no fan of plastic but the feds will definitely screw it up and foist some awful mess on us.

As Carlin said...

“The planet … is a self‐correcting system. The air and the water will recover, the earth will be renewed. And if it’s true that plastic is not degradable, well, the planet will simply incorporate plastic into a new paradigm: the Earth plus plastic. The Earth doesn’t share our prejudice toward plastic. Plastic came out of the earth. The Earth probably sees plastic as just another one of its children. Could be the only reason the Earth allowed us to be spawned from it in the first place. It wanted plastic for itself. Didn’t know how to make it. Needed us. Could be the answer to our age‐old egocentric philosophical question, ‘Why are we here?’.....”

“PLASTIC....A-HOLE!”

You know on one hand I am fairly sure eating non-food items is not good for you.

On the other I have to wonder just how bad it actually is.

It is sort of like their throwing a fit over any amount of toxin. We are built to handle a certain amount of bad stuff in our food without getting sick. That is why our body has a bunch of filtration systems built in.

You just have to be careful not to overwhelm those systems with large amounts of toxins. But small amounts are handled quite by our biologically systems. And it keeps them from getting bored and shutting down.

Don’t know about others, but when I accidentally swallowed a plastic item, it just came out the other end. No big deal.
