These guys aren’t “terrorists”, they are the military branch of a sovereign entity with majority home turf popular support and which openly calls for the total destruction of their opponents. As such, they should be pounded relentlessly until their leadership or whatever passes for it after bouncing their rubble surrenders unconditionally.
Anything less is just military industrial complex “lather, rinse, repeat”. If their ideology and religious tenets lead them to be nearly extirpated so be it.
