That is what I take now, but they are talking about replacing my shoulder. I will be needing something stronger than ibuprofen and Tylenol.

You might not. After a total hip replacement they prescribed a bottle of one of the oxi drugs. I was fine with ES Tylenol and never took the Rx.

Some year ago I had a shoulder that was extremely painful. The Dr. wanted to get me into a specialist for shoulder surgery. I refused because I had friends who had the surgery and most of them didn't come out well.
I then looked to the internet. I found a program called RICE. Rest. Ice. Compression. Exercise.
It took a long time but eventually the shoulder healed and now I haven't had any problems for years.
Use you own judgement.
