A Gen Z Israeli has been sent to prison for refusing to enlist in the military. Tal Mitnick says he cannot support the cycle of violence and oppression of Palestinian people. Mitnick will spend 30 days in prison before being screened once again. A Gen Z Israeli is going to military prison after refusing to enlist in the country's military amid its war with Hamas, saying he won't be part of an 'eye for an eye' cycle of violence.

Tal Mitnick, an 18-year-old from Tel Aviv, is one of several young Israelis defying Israel's mandatory military service, but he is the first to be sent to military prison during his country's war with Hamas.

Israel invaded Gaza and declared war against Hamas after the militant group attacked Israel in October. Mitnick was sentenced on Tuesday to 30 days in prison after refusing to enlist in the Israel Defense Forces, a spokesperson for the IDF told Business Insider.

Well, he may be the first but, to the extent that there are others like him, I hope he won’t be the last.

Guys like him are so inured to the realities of life that don’t learn until they are dragged off and never seen again.

Just to clarify. You mean that you hope he won't be the last simple-minded soy-boy to be sent to prison?

Oh, they’ll give him a “break”, all right….

Fill in the blank… too many options.

I bet his parents went to Harvard.

It’s not “eye-for-eye”, you goofball.
It’s “get the trash out’ that’s ruining your country!

Well, after he has had 30 days to reconsider his position, maybe his vision will clear up a little.

Eye for an eye? I think Israel is now removing the head for an eye. As for this dipshxt, I’d say prison until Hamas and Hezbollah no longer exist.

“....he cannot support the cycle of violence and oppression of Palestinian people.”

Can this ‘tard do a little research on the internet or what? It would take him 5 seconds.

“Do palestinian people live in Israel?”

Today, there are approximately 1.6 million Palestinian citizens of Israel, comprising about 20% of the total Israeli population.

“Can palestinian people serve in the Israeli parliament/knesset?”

Palestinian citizens of Israel have had the right to vote in Israeli elections since the first Israeli elections in 1949. Arab Knesset members have served in office since the First Knesset.

“Can palestinian people serve in the Israeil military?”

Yes, Palestinians can volunteer to serve in the Israeli military. According to a Quora user, more than 1,000 ethnic Arabs serve in the IDF

“Do Palestinians have freedom?”

Israel enforces restrictions on the freedom of movement of Palestinians in the West Bank by employing a system of permanent, temporary and random manned checkpoints, the West Bank Barrier and by forbidding the usage of roads by Palestinians.

Why? BECAUSE OF TERRORISM!

“Is it safe for Jews to go to the West Bank?”

We advise against all travel to the West Bank, excluding East Jerusalem and Route 1 between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. There is a risk of violent incidents, including stabbings, shootings, arson, vehicle rammings and stone throwing attacks on people and vehicles.

So what this schmuck is doing is he’s supporting TERRORISM!

Oooo the poor poor terrorists are OPPRESSED! Boo hoo hoo! They cannot behead babies and rape women in peace! Boo hoo hoo!

He’s just scared. It’s too bad that controlling our fear has gone out of fashion. It’s also no coincidence that he’s a city boy.

I don’t believe they “learn” from anything save the reality of being forced to live with the mindsearing pain of something more important. There is no deeper pain than what the parents felt as they watched the butchery of their children. It never ends for them as long they are beathing.

“Tal Mitnick says he cannot support the cycle of violence and oppression of Palestinian people. “

So instead he supports the cycle of violence and oppression of his own people?

this kid cares nothing of the history of Arabs toward Jews and many others.
