Yeah right, he was already impeached once and was on the way out. He chose to pardon druggies, rappers and other low lifes.

Per skr, the takeaway IMO is that if the rodents will screw their fellows, it is a certainty they’ve done the same and far worse against President Trump.

He was impeached but no chance of conviction

McConnell’s threat was serious

Bernie was going to win the 2016 democrat presidential primary.

The only reason he didn’t is Hillary stole it from him.

One of the most frustrating things about Trump was/is the fact that as soon as he got off Twitter he’d readily capitulate to the GOPe/Deep State: Barr, McConnell, Fauci, Ryan, etc. He was the electronic version of a paper tiger.

I have not followed the Julian Assange story closely, but he definitely hacked into computer systems at the Pentagon and at USA military contractors, which is definitely a crime.

There is no evidence that he ever harmed any USA computer systems, or sold data, or directly profited from his hacks.

On the flip side, he bragged about it, and he shared hacking secrets on the Dark Web, which may have helped criminal hackers.

Also, his organization WikiLeaks had confidential financial support, which is probably illegal, since his most important product was publishing private or classified documents.

Bottom Line - the USA can definitely arrest and prosecute Assange for hacking. But, I think the USA will have a hard time proving espionage, or proving that Assange significantly harmed our national security.

This is a ridiculous progressive argument. Bernie Sanders was never going to be at Hillary Clinton.

Shhhhh! We want the Bernie fringe to think they’ve been disenfranchised!

In case you haven’t been paying attention, the Demoncrats have fixed the 2023 Democrat nomination process, they can place whomever they wish as nominee.

Assange hacked nothing, he received material from others. You are free to figure out who by yourself. Remember, they first were holding him for supposed sex charges in Norway. It progressed from there.

Re: "Assange hacked nothing"

Sorry, that is incorrect.

In his late teens and twenties, Assange was arrested twice for hacking in Australia. I cannot recall if he served jail time or not.

Assange bragged about hacking into the Pentagon and USA defense contractors and posted hacker tips on the dark Web.

Latter, Assange wrote a program that allowed hackers to conduct computer attacks on the USA military and military contractors.

It has been reported that the USA filed sealed indictments against Assange for multiple hacks that exposed major flaws in the Pentagon computer system.

Assange did not get involved with Wikileaks until 10 years after the events I discussed above.

The first unsealed USA indictment against Assanged came around 2019 for Conspiracy to Commit Computer Intrusion.

So he is being held for hacking as a youngster? Bring on the trial, let him have a Lawyer, and appoint a Prosecutor. Or lock him in the worst prison the UK has without charges for life.

Assange is fighting extradition to the USA in the UK courts.

I believe he is charged with just one unsealed charge in the USA...

"Conspiracy to commit computer intrusion."

The other charges remain sealed, as far as I know.
