at times I go to my country place to be alone, when people ask what I do there, I say “nothing, and its wonderful” sometimes recharging the batteries is necessary, especially during these times of sensory overload. After about a month I am ready to go back to “civilization”, fully charged.
Can you imagine 200 years ago not knowing anything about what is happening in the world or the country or state that you live in unless you travel to town and read a newspaper a few weeks old?
You remind me of what I sometimes tell my wife,
That I really believe that people in the past where much smarter than “us”.
And the more distant, the more critically intelligent.
