Israeli soldiers destroyed the Hamas command and control center of Shejaiya Battalion, killed numerous terrorists and destroyed a terror tunnel, the IDF reported. Hamas leaders are on the run, with many leaving Qatar for Hamas-supporting Turkey, technically a NATO member.

ISIS used Qatar as it's operational base and was actually working as a proxy army for Qatar in Syria and Iraq. Their goal was to carve out the territory for natural gas pipelines to the Mediterranean Sea so Qatar, which has few oil reserves but vast natural gas reserves which cannot be economically transported except by pipeline.
Protecting it's EU natural gas biz by preventing Qatar from building it's natural gas pipeline is why Russia has been supporting Syria against ISIS and others.
It's no coincidence that the “Five Taliban Generals” who set up and managed Al Qaeda’s training camps and world wide terror cells were hurriedly released by Obama to Qatar on the eve of the ISIS explosion. They organized and led the ISIS reign of terror from Qatar.
Hamas has been doing the same for Gaza from their base in Qatar.
Now the heat is on and Qatar does not want late night visits from IAF F-35s , especially when Hamas back stabbed Qatar by reneging on the hostage deal Qatar worked so hard to put in place to help save Hamas.

Qatar is technically Sunni. Likely a source of significant funding for Hamas, also Sunni.
Unlike Iran, which is Shiite.
Before jumping to research population numbers of each, note that Asia, with the world’s largest muslim populations, are Sunni, but they are not important to the Middle East populations. That is why Iran’s influence is magnified. Their Shiite numbers are more near.

These soldiers, you are dealing with young kids, 19, 20, 22 yrs old..they were scared, Hamas puts bombs into speakers, kids toys, backpacks..they put sounds of babies crying in hebrew in speakers to trap the soldiers..so they were scared thought they were being sent into a trap

The Iran terror leaders are far to important to risk their lives or those of their families. Just like the Iranian leaders.
