Rumours of Vladimir Putin's 'ill health' have been swirling for years, with recent sources claiming the Russian President has died and his corpse is being stored in a freezer 'used for deep-frozen food'.
Russian President Vladimir Putin is holding his first major news conference today, since launching a full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February last year.
At the annual event (which didn't happen last year), he has claimed that peace with Ukraine will only occur "when we achieve our objectives".

Speculation has mounted online for years about the Russian President's 'ill health', with claims he is allegedly suffering from terminal cancer, Parkinson's disease and other ailments.
In October, a controversial Telegram channel alleged Putin suffered a cardiac arrest and was reportedly found by security convulsing in his private bedroom - a claim the Kremlin was forced to strongly deny.
Then rumours swirled again when drastic reports claimed the dictator had died and his "corpse was placed in a freezer, which previously contained deep-frozen food". Once again, the Kremlin released a statement to insist he was alive and said: "We have only one Putin."
In October, there was claims the body of Putin had allegedly been stored in a freezer following rumours of his death, according to a Telegram channel which regularly alleges Putin is terminally ill with cancer. The channel alleged: "Putin's corpse was placed in a freezer, which previously contained deep-frozen food, at the presidential residence in Valdai."
It further claimed that senior aides were preparing a body double to take over as the president, so he could rule without question. However, the Krelim disputed the rumours and branded them 'absurd'.

If Putin were dead, there would be no war in Ukraine...............
He’s died more times than Sean Bean.
Putin is not the most hawkish member of the Russian government.
Some think he should have gone more all-in in Ukraine, to the point of actually declaring war.
(Why do you think Putin’s government still insists on calling a “Special Military Operation”? Because as far as Russia is concerned, there is a distinct legal difference between being at war and conducting an SMO.)
In the USSR didn’t Yuri Andropov drop off and it took a month or so the say he dropped off ?
I can’t stand Putin, but this kind of ham handed propaganda is stupid.
It’s more likely that Biden is an animatronic zombie made by Disney and Raytheon
I think the Kremlin said Andropov was fine and just had a cold.
It’s Kremlin Flu Season.
Can’t they make a better model, say one like Tina Louise in “The Stepford Wives”?
They called in Putin’s stand-in from Canada, Vladimir Poutine.
If you play Tchaikovsky nutcracker suite backwards on an old vinyl it says so. Does that count?
Patrushev’s son Dmitry is due for an unexpected case of window cancer because of skyrocketing egg prices under his watch as Minister of Agriculture.
Aw Jeez, Putin's dead again?
“Biden is an animatronic zombie made by Disney and Raytheon”
Lockheed has all the best government contracts—I vote for them.
;-)
You have already killed off Putin for months here.
Lol.
Yeah, exactly. Sheesh.
Hating Putin is how the Neocons justify their denial about our enemies in DC.
Putin has died more times than Francisco Franco.
Read the labels, people. Read the labels. Really though -- WHO doesn't already know that those convenience meals are just Kremlinned full of sketchy stuff?
