UPDATE: A source from inside IBM and Red Hat has just given us INTERNAL SLACK MESSAGES that reveal employee response to our reporting. According to one IBM / Ret Hat employee, “The truth is, it’s his fault (James O'Keefe's) that we are even having this conversation. We all made zero stink about this until the 'super mega awesome leaked IBM exec video'.“ Clearly, this is striking a nerve both inside and outside the tech giant.
“This wasn’t a problem until people found out about it” is the basis for almost all major corporate problems.
translation: we were all onboard with the illegal discrimination, just because we knowingly and willingly violate employment laws, why is this a big deal?
DEI is racism
“it’s his fault (James O’Keefe’s) that we are even having this conversation.”
That’s literally true. The objectionable part is the word “fault.” This is a really bad look for them.
So satisfying to watch upper management panic and look for someone to blame.
Just be sure your documentation solid before posting.
Clearly, the expose of its DEI machinations is striking a nerve both inside and outside the tech giant.
Company secrets are intended to stay just that.....secret.
Keeping the company stock “up there” counts more than honesty.
Red Hat Linux is owned by IBM? If true that will remove Red Hat from any future OS recommendations our company will make in the future.
My uncle Larry went from adding machine salesman in the 30s to a Vice President of something. My father wanted me, a math major to work for IBM.
I CERTAINLY Hd a good reference and IBM was my only senior interview.I was AFROTC and went in for 22 years. My cousin Larry did work for IBM.
THINK
That’s like a criminal saying it’s the fault of the police that you got caught and had to go to prison.
Yes, IBM purchased them long ago.
For those who haven’t seen the O’keefe video.

It’s akin to killing your own parents then crying because you’re an orphan.
“it’s his fault (James O’Keefe’s) that we are even having this conversation.”
“The fault lies not in our stars, but in ourselves”
Said by an old guy, long ago canceled.
Tough mammaries.
Go Woke, go broke.
I started selling adding machines for The Burroughs Corp in the 60s, and sold computer equipment and software systems for multiple companies for over 40 years.
In the early 2000s the company I sold for was bought by IBM and I stayed with them for about a year.
I had to quit because I could not stand the rules and multiple layers of both management and corporate bullshit.
I understood why a corporation with over 300,000 employees had to have layers of lawyers and managers, but I could not adapt to the maze of muddle managers, that were in place to keep the mix churning {almost like a white collar union}.
You’re a good man, James O’Keefe.
With 120 sources in the company one must surmise hat some employee nerves have been struck.
