They take their bug spray seriously in Japan. I was sitting in my landlord’s house in the little town of Hayama and we spotted a couple of mosquitos in the far corner of the room. “Watch this,” he sez, producing an aerosol can with a little pull-up spray barrel. One tiny spray, maybe a quarter of a second, and the evil little buggers death-spiraled into the ground. “Man,” I sez, “I wish that stuff was legal in the States.” It isn’t.

We used to have that kind of spray in the USA.

It was NICOTINE based...............

When I worked in Mexico, there was an insecticide called OKO that we used. If you shot one small puff into the air so that a housefly flew through it, that fly was down and dead within 15 seconds. I should have smuggled a few cans back.
