Stopping traffic is violence and should be handled as thus
The stop oil now crowd tried this during this year’s Tour De France bicycle race and the cycling fans weren’t having it.
Of the little footage that was shown the fans just manhandled ‘em and threw ‘em over a guardrail before the cyclists ever got there......with a few elbows and knees getting thrown in for good measure.
After a couple of those incidents the three week race saw no more of that nonsense.
Fear of reprisal goes a long way in mitigating this kind of asinine behavior.
She is wrong. Big Rigs are not allowed on the 110. They use the 710, which connects to the port.
That and there is no "roaring" on the 110 - it is backed up at any given time of day, 7 days/week through the downtown area, before and beyond.
I've only ever seen Big Rigs on the 110 (which I commuted on for 33 years) after the freeway fire of a few weeks ago right at the juncture of the 10 and 110. Only allowed during that short period of time.
Their cause is anarchy. Commiefornia Highway Patrol is there to arrest anyone who tries to stop the protestors from causing anarchy.
That’s not the goal, from what I’ve heard. They are not trying to get public support. They are simply trying to make life so difficult for the public that the public will demand the politicians do something to stop the protests. And for the politicians, the easiest thing to do (the protestors hope) is to give in to their demands. That’s the strategy that the “stop oil” idiots in Europe use, and the pro-Gaza crowd seems to have adopted it.
It is narrow, has many curves, and tends to have many traffic slow downs on a normal day.
Why leftists think stopping traffic will win people to their cause is beyond my understanding.
“Fear of reprisal goes a long way in mitigating this kind of asinine behavior.”
BINGO!
Until a bunch of these “protestors” get the snot kicked out of them, this is gonna continue to happen.
I believe a lot of this attitude towards certain protesters (except J6) goes back to the sixties. When students began taking over faculty and administrative offices at their schools, the authorities rolled over, apparently deciding that if the cause was just, they should go easy. The pattern was set on dealing with the cause du jour and cops were punished if they acted otherwise. Now those students are in power and they hardly have the moral authority to crack down on favored protesters. So the most these folks will get is a slap on the wrist: “Naughty, naughty, here have a treat.”
The punishment should "fit the crime".
Orange jumpsuits, a broom, and a trash bag; let them cleanup the Freeway, while traffic...zooms by
Think outside the box, folks. There is a tire iron in your trunk.
Another reason to always carry pepper gel spray in your car.
They should be able to at least sue for lost wages and "emotional distress".
I seem to remember some place enacting a law that absolved drivers from any liability or retribution if they ran creeps like this down, or was it just a dream?
ping
they are not protestors
The way those popup targets sit across the roads reminds me of a popup target rifle range in the Army.
Good. It is well past time to let these anarchists keep disrupting and destroying our lives.
Behind the scenes at the organizing meetings, you will see the guiding hand of the Revolutionary Communist Party.
It doesn't and they don't get it either.
