We moved to West Springfield in 1966. Parents bought a new house in Charlestown off of Carrleigh Parkway. Went to WSHS. It was a great place to grow up. Safe community. I had a lot of friends in Rolling Valley.

I was in the "area band". We met and performed as WSHS. The high school was just down the road from where my scout troop met at a church building. When I first moved in, the only store in walking distance was the 7-Eleven on Old Keene Mill Rd and Rolling road. I learned to ice skate on the golf course water hazard when it froze solid in the Winter months. Our house was a 8315 Greeley Blvd. I like that one very much.
