“Why “Ruzzian”? Not Russian? What does it mean?”
ETYMOLOGY
Neologism following the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. Typically Ukrainians, blend the Russian + Z, using the Russian Z SYMBOL to substitute against the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Kind of an etymology parody for Russian.
OK, well it seems contrived. But I appreciate you explaining. And no, I don’t approve one iota of the Russian invasion. Or of Joe Burden indicating it was ok to invade.
There is no Z in the Cyrillic alphabet. Only Ze last time I looked. There are explanations out there that say that the symbol Z on Russian equipment are actually representing 77, one of them upside down, possibly representing the end of WWII at the time of start of the UKR/RUS conflict.
