Day 657 of the russian full-scale military aggression against Ukraine continues.
The russian federation continues to wage a war of aggression. Despite significant losses, it does not abandon its plans for the complete occupation of Ukraine. The enemy continues to ignore the laws and customs of war, uses terror tactics, conducts strikes, and shells both military and civilian targets.
The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains difficult.
During the day of December 12, there were 73x combat engagements.
The enemy launched a total of 1x missile strike, 3x air strikes and 38x MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, the Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and injuries. Private residential buildings as well as other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
Volyn and Polissya axes: no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group. Certain units of the armed forces of Belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.
Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes: the adversary maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy continues its sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shelling Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. Around 15x settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Popivka (Chernihiv oblast), Seredyna-Buda, Veselivka (Sumy oblast), Chervona Zorya, Kozacha Lopan, Lukyantsi, Zelene (Kharkiv oblast).
Kupyansk axis: Ukrainian defenders repelled 8x enemy attacks in the vicinities of Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka (Kharkiv oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 10x settlements, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Kupyansk, Ivanivka, Berestove (Kharkiv oblast).
Lyman axis: Ukrainian defense forces repelled 2x attacks in the vicinity of Makiivka (Donetsk oblast). The occupiers fired artillery and mortars at around 10x settlements, including Nevske, Bilohorivka, Serebryanske forestry (Luhansk oblast), Torske, Serebryanka, Verkhnokamyanske (Donetsk oblast).
Bakhmut axis: Ukrainian defenders repelled 4x attacks near Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Andriivka (Donetsk oblast). Around 10x settlements, including Vasyukivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, New York (Donetsk oblast), came under artillery and mortar fire.
Avdiivka axis: Ukrainian defenders repelled 37x attacks in the area east of Novokalynove, east of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka, south of Sjeverne, south of Tonenke, Pervomaiske and Nevelske (Donetsk oblast), where the enemy was making unsuccessful attempts to breach Ukrainian defenses. The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 10x settlements, including Sukha Balka, Keramik, Stepove, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, Nevelske (Donetsk oblast).
Maryinka axis: Ukrainian defense forces continue to hold back the enemy in the vicinity of Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast), where the enemy launched 10x failed attacks on positions of Ukrainian defenders. The settlements of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Maryinka, Pobjeda, Novomykhailivka, Paraskoviivka (Donetsk oblast) were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.
Shakhtarske axis: the adversary conducted no offensives. Around 10x settlements, including Vodyane, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Urozhaine (Donetsk oblast), came under artillery and mortar fire.
Zaporizhzhia axis: Ukrainian defense forces repelled 4x enemy attacks north of Pryyutne and west of Verbove (Zaporizhzhia oblast). More than 20x settlements, including Novodanylivka, Orikhiv, Novoandriivka, Mali Shcherbaky, Pyatykhatky, Plavni (Zaporizhzhia oblast) came under artillery and mortar fire.
Kherson axis: the enemy fired artillery at the settlements of Ivanivka, Vysoke, Antonivka, Veletenske (Kherson oblast), the cities of Kherson and Ochakiv (Mykolaiv oblast).
Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold their ground on the left bank of the Dnipro River (Kherson oblast) and inflict fire on the enemy.
During the day of December 12, Ukrainian Air Force launched 1x strike on a concentration of troops, weapons and military equipment of the Russian invaders.
Ukrainian missile troops hit 1x command post, 2x strikes on concentrations of troops, weapons and military equipment, 1x ammunition depot of the occupiers.
