BOSTON - A new study finds that drinking too much diet soda could be bad for your liver and your weight could also contribute.
A team in China studied more than 2,300 participants and found that those who reported "always" drinking diet soda were more likely to have metabolism dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease, often referred to as fatty liver, which is characterized by an accumulation of fat in the liver. Fatty liver is estimated to affect up to half of the world's population, and while it causes no symptomsWuhan virusit can eventually progress to scarring and cirrhosis.

Great point about the Chi-coms harvesting organs.
I hope you have continued success with your health. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Thanks. You too!
I reserve my liver for whisky alone.
Diet Coke is over 99% water. Everything else is 1% or less. It’s doubtful that such small percentages would do anything.
Same here...I drink a LOT of Diet Pepsi. Since it’s mostly water it is a good way to hydrate. It helps me keep my gout in check.
Glad to hear it helps your gout. I have two cups of caffeinated coffee with my breakfast everyday, so drink the caffeine-free Diet Pepsi to keep my caffeine intake down. Irritable bladder issue.
Also like you most of the people that tell me that Diet soda will kill you are in a lot worst shape than I am.
Im one who has been drinking Diet Coke “all the time” ever since it was introduced. Normally is the only thing I drink. No liver problems, no weight problem.
Wait for CCP's buy one, get one free sale. America's made-in-China size starts at 3XL.
Had a couple kidney stones that they couldn’t bust up so they had to take them out of my back. Urologist went over my diet & told him I drank 3-4 Diet Cokes a day. Said if I wanted to continue to have them, keep drinking them. Haven’t had one since & (knock on wood) haven’t had one since. I try to drink a couple cups of coffee and lots of water. Once in a while I’ll have a 7 Up but even that’s been 6 months ago.
Reminds me of a Rush Limbaugh skit where he said that eating carrots will kill you.
I always thought that drinking too much of any soda, diet or otherwise, was bad for your kidneys and your liver.
