First weapons we have now abrams, stylers , Bradley’s are not burdening the is taxpayers, they were built to fight the Soviet’s now Russians
Second what costs there are will be nothing compared to what will come if we let Ukraine fail
History does not repeat itself but it does rhyme and those who disregard history pay dearly for it
“Peace in our time” did not work in the 30s and the world including the US paid dearly, let Putin suceed and it will happen again
You have made your choice, I have made mine
Right.
About half of US aid to Ukraine is in the form of military hardware and supplies, around 90% of which comes out of old inventories nearing obsolescence and scrap anyway.
Our costs are what it takes to replace our own old stocks with new, updated equipment.
The other half is humanitarian and financial aid, much of which also goes to purchase American made goods & services.

Exactly, and it's not just Vlad the Invader.
Today we are looking at a new Cold War -- Cold War II -- with a new Axis of Evil: Russia's Vlad the Invader, the CCP's Xi-snake, NoKo's Little Kim and Iran's Moolah Mullahs.
All of these are authoritarian dictatorships, "democratic" in name only, in announced opposition to the American led "world order", and threatening their neighbors militarily, from Ukraine and Georgia to Israel, Taiwan and in the case of NoKo's Little Kim, South Korea and Japan with nukes.
Further, if wars of conquest now become the method of choice for settling national disputes, then today's New Axis of Evil is just the beginning.
There is a long list of other countries with border & other national disputes which could become excuses for launching invasions of their neighbors.
The most notable of these right now is Venezuela and Guyana, involving billions of barrels of oil on Guyann territory that Venezuela's Nicholas Madura wants to conquer and seize.
And there are dozens and dozens of other disputes, some quite minor, but not all.

We are talking about Russia and China's "Decline of the West" narrative, a shift in global centers of power -- economic, political, military & cultural -- from the allegedly declining democratic West to the more authoritarian and militarily aggressive East.
