Daily Russian losses in the range of 1,000 tell us that Russians are continuing with massive "Meat Wave" assaults on dug-in Ukrainian positions.
These casualty rates are said to be higher than average Russian casualties during the First World War.
In 1914 Russia's population totaled 166 million and was growing rapidly.
In 1915 and 1916 Russia suffered roughly 750 soldiers' deaths per day on average according to International Encyclopedia of the First World War.
Today, Russia's population is circa 145 million and is not growing, may be shrinking.
Since September, Russian losses in Ukraine are said to average nearly 1,000 per day.
Some Ukrainians claim their own losses are roughly one-third Russian "Meat Wave" assault numbers.
