If memory serves me correctly, don't we see some variation on the Innerwebz of "military told to be ready to deploy", "Troops going out any day now", "Natl. Guard being deployed", "Stock up on food/water/ammo/etc." every other week or so? None of those shrieking alerts has ever come to pass. I'm with you in having some skepticism about this one.

So at 4 AM I get a call from the unit telling me to get the family to stock up on candles. and get it done before 6. Yup. Sure. Nowhere, never, has that ever happened in the real world. Pretty much lost me and any other self-respecting preppers with that bit of wisdom.
