That’s a good summary of the current state of affairs. I like to think that it’s less than half the country, especially when you remove the percent that are corrupt or compromised (5-10%?).
Coyote slide -
The neighbourhood menace dug up the grave of my beloved Nala and continued what it started. I found her little body again and had to re-bury what was left of her, inside the fence this time. There doesn’t seem to be an end to the indignities that little girl has had to endure; but the desperation from hunger that would make the coyote do that activated the pity gene in me and I no longer want to kill it out of vengeance. It was just doing what everyone here is trying to do in these difficult times - survive a bad situation. I’ve contacted wildlife organizations to try to have it removed from our neigbourhood so no other pets are killed. When I walk Zeus now, I carry an old 9 iron and, if it comes near us, I will absolutely beat the living crap out of it without even one second of compassion.
