I’d put a nice bowl of anti freeze on top of poor Nala’s grave.
But I’m harsh.

When I first realized what happened to her I was so filled with anguish and rage that I was ready to find the beast and wring its scrawny neck with my bare hands. It seemed likely I’d be horribly injured in the process, so I turned my thoughts to building a bear snap trap baited with a steak. In my mind, I’d repeatedly return to see it stuck there dying slowly and just watch it die a horrible death, so you’re not harsh at all. Fortunately, I had to go to Atlanta the next day and enough time passed that my rage subsided before I could carry out a plot that would have permanently damaged my soul.
I hope to hear from the wildlife people tomorrow about trapping it more humanely than my dumbass idea (HT to my Dad). My own forest exploration and all of the comments here have given me lots of information that I can use to persuade them of its danger should they show any reluctance.
good stuff
Oh, Tettegouche State Park.
I’ve been hiking there. Mistook your photo for near Split Rock Lighthouse.
Thanks!
Wow! The Ballroom at Cipriani. When I belonged to the NYYR (1996-1997) we were lucky if we had 20 members and we struggled to get guest speakers.
We met in the back room of a bar on West 57 Street (Kennedy’s) until the Irish-born owner found out we were Republicans and he threw us out! After that, we met in the back room of The Yorkville Inn (now gone) on the upper east side.
Membership was all young lawyers but for yours truly. All were really Democrats who just wanted to pay less taxes.
OMGosh....I LOVE that story.
What a time to be in NYC...and, especially as a member of NYYR.
The things you saw/experienced - saw CHANGE, and, could tell....lol!!
I wonder if they have scrap books we could just sit and go through. Would love to do that, someday.
Thx for sharing.
Re: Kennedy’s.
I was on a Bose junket to NYC some 20 years ago and had a couple of hours to kill, so I wandered around. Stopped at Kennedy’s for lunch. Great food, huge portions and cheap prices. I’ve mentioned it to my wife many times.
If I’d known about the owner’s proclivities I would’ve bypassed it, but no!
Still, small world.
It’s a terrible thing to think about but if we don’t we may be ignoring the possible.
One of the comments.....
Steve Bannon, Chief of Staff, Trump 47. Winters takes over War Room. Poso , Raheem, Darren all get big jobs running something placed by Bannon/ Trump. LFG! 👍🇺🇸— Dog Walker 🍊 (@Dogwalker2019) December 10, 2023
I think you are right it may come to neighborhoods working with neighborhoods.
That’s pretty much the claim.
True. I think it will be a long time before Navy's 2002-2015, 14 game winning streak is even approached, much less tied or bested.
14 straight games, WOW! That meant that there were Majors who had graduated from West Point that had never seen an Army win in their careers.

At first, I thought that tiny female was someone’s daughter playing dress-up. That is what she is doing in reality since, as you asked, how is she going to save anybody? And I am betting her uniform costs extra because it must be custom made.
