@RepThomasMassie
I agree with the title “Reaffirming the State of Israel’s Right to Exist” and much of the language, but I’m voting No on the resolution because it equates anti-Zionism with antisemitism. Antisemitism is deplorable, but expanding it to include criticism of Israel is not helpful.

Peter Hichens has rightly pointed out that the Holocaust made it perfectly clear that Jews needed a homeland.
That doesn’t make everything the government in Israel does right it is not above reproach or criticism just as certainly as the US government is.
I am a Zionist I support the notion of the State of Israel but I don’t think that its leaders up to and including Mr. Netanyahu are above reproach.
They make bad policies just like anyone else.
He’s absolutely on target.
Deuteronomy 1:17
Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear the small as well as the great; ye shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is God’s: and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto me, and I will hear it
Amen
Israel can’t be criticized? What about freedom of speech?
Is my criticism "antisemitic"?
Freepers and nuance
Not a likely pairing
Are we allowed to say Tel Aviv is a very bustling city for supporting the gay activity or are we to pretend otherwise and reserve any criticism?
Or maybe forget how the people were pretty much forced to take those covid vaxes?

Nobody is above criticism.
So is Massie an anti Zionist? From the river to the sea Massie is a douche bag.
Racist.
I’m voting no on the resolution because it equates anti-Zionism with antisemitism. Antisemitism is deplorable, but expanding it to include criticism of Israel is not helpful.
Say what...??
“denys” = denies.
First we should pass a resolution “Reaffirming the Free Republic of The United States Right to Exist”
The whole resolution is trivial and meaning less. Furthermore, it doesn’t matter.
I agree with Massie’s position. Anti-Semitism and Anti-Zionism are two different things.
I bet you were shaking your head when Ron Paul voted against the Patriot act and the was in Iraq too. I know that I was.
Who ended up being right about that?
These guys who stand on the principals of liberty usually end up being proven right in the end.
He’s hit and miss, too.
I wasn’t too comfortable with that back in the day and Bush’s border security wasn’t the best either.
I would leave Israel alone - but the world won’t - just watch how it ends.
Yes, Israel is going to be severely attacked. The world’s armies are going to be wiped out with a Word at Armageddon.
But we’re always 7 years away from that until the ‘Peace and Security’ gets confirmed.
[I bet you were shaking your head when Ron Paul voted against the Patriot act and the was in Iraq too. I know that I was.]
Oh, and your bet is completely wrong.
I was constantly saying that I believed Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. Mostly Saudis.
