Those aren't the words I'd use, but close enough.
My words would be "limited" and "specialist", since you only have that one tool, mocking, in your intellectual tool box, only the one mocking-weapon in your arguments' arsenal, it's your go-to for every occasion, so you rely on it, over-rely on it regardless of how useful, or not.
