So, the Catholic Church has never changed their creeds, dogma or doctrine over the past 1600 years?

I just love hearing Catholics say that…

“We used to think X and now we think Y but we never changed. We just realized that we were interpreting it wrong so we now interpret it right.”

Near the very end of the Book that Rome compiled so long ago, there are descriptions of seven different churches (Catholic; if you can accept the teaching of Rome) that sure seem to have followed differing doctrines taught, evidently, by early church fathers.


I've yet to see any explanation as to how this was even remotely possible.
