A Virginia restaurant that made headlines in 2018 after its owner kicked out then-White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders for being a conservative is closing its doors.
The Red Hen, located in Lexington, Virginia, was the subject of negative headlines in June 2018 when owner Stephanie Wilkinson asked the then-press secretary and seven others she was dining with at the restaurant to leave.
Wilkinson, during an interview with The Washington Post at the time, explained she was at home when her employees called her to inform her that Sanders and her family had been seated in The Red Hen.
She said she drove to the restaurant to confirm the now-Arkansas governor was indeed dining in at the establishment. Per Wilkinson, her staff was “concerned.”

Que the Nelson meme....
Would like to see this diagramed on the F around chart…
Open a Chic-A-Filet there.
“Good bye and good riddance.”
Should have happened way before now. The owners deserve this 7 fold.
At common law and still in many states, if you injure someone and they die more than a year and a day later, you cannot be charged with murder. By the token, an incident 5.5 years ago cannot be reasonably said to have caused this result. This is so obvious, so
I’m not sure why this keeps getting posted. Restaurants infamously fail all the time, and this one claims to be retooling with a plan to reopen.
Those old hens at the now defunct Red Hen can have fun standing in one of Joe Biden's bread lines.
Agreed, if it happened a few months after the event with Sanders, it could reasonably be said to becthe result of that incident. 5ish years later, very doubtful.
Headline is wrong. The will be closing Dec. 31 for remodeling and retooling branding.
😆😂🤣
What? There weren’t enough liberals to keep it going?
Sounds like Bed, Bath and Begone.
🔝🔝
and the RATS take another one in the.........HA ha!!!
No reason was offered for the imminent closure, but Wilkinson will shut down The Red Hen and attempt to reopen a new restaurant under a different name.
Yep, looks like maybe three of us actually read the article!
Glad they failed——finally.

And with all the “alleged” and “suspect” hoops we all have to go through about thugs who beat up elderly people and rape women joggers, shouldn’t the articles say “alleged conservative” if she was never convicted of being one?
Maybe she had a sealed juvenile conviction for being a GOP campaign volunteer or something. Who knows?
That’s why it was written that way.
Rename it to the Red Guard.
Its chick-feel-A👍🏻
I wonder if the restaurant lost the main cook, etc. It is not a very big restaurant, maybe half a dozen tables at most. The article wasn’t clear if the owner was going to reopen at the same location or at a new location.
