This brought me back.
A woman after my own heart- I was 18 or 19 at the time, when there was one radio station and several clubs in Toronto that played our kid of music every night.
In South Florida, and a small town just north of Bum Fluff Egypt as they say — I was only able to get staticky stations in from Miami. late night new wave shows... oh man, those were the days.
Toronto, eh! Home of SCTV! I actually find Canadian comedy to be infinitely funnier than British comedy — SCTV and Kids in the Hall are more my speed than say, Monty Python (although I love the UK.)
Check out the TV series Corner Gas. You won’t regret it.
