Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota recently sent service members a text message warning them that their “continued service” could be in jeopardy if they attended a local rally featuring a speaker from an organization that has historically been supportive of former President Donald Trump.
In the text message sent to the Air Force base’s service members, leadership warned “participation with groups such as Turning Point Action could jeopardize their continued service in the U.S. military.”
Leadership warned Air Force members that some of the people attending the rally “could be confrontational to military members.”

Turning Point Action spokesperson explained that the recent “Dakota Patriot Rally” event was not officially recognized by the organization; however, the spokesperson described the threatening message sent by Air Force leaders as “absolutely appalling.”
“Tyler Bowyer was simply a keynote speaker. Secondly, Turning Point Action is not alt-right, it’s a mainstream conservative organization, and Tyler Bowyer is not some fringe personality—he’s the COO of TPAction, an RNC committeeman from the state of Arizona, and one of the most accomplished political organizers in the country,”
spokesperson also emphasized the “shocking and totally unacceptable” concept that military members could jeopardize their careers by participating with Turning Point Action.

That was fast.
There may be some hope left after all...
“Nothing new. Regs always prohibited troops from attending political events. Of course.”

You state that as fact and it is an outright lie.
Only prohibited when in uniform. What, did you forget that part? Of course, eh.
Most here will not join and they actively discourage others from joining our military so who cares?
Legally they can’t stop them. Those that go can’t wear a uniform. It’s that simple.
You’d be correct.
Air Force taking order from the CAC Biden?.
The party is going to get more radical before 2024 it’s a winner takes all deal now everything is on the line.
Fasten seat belts
>>>>“Regs always prohibited troops from attending political events”
>>>No, they have not. They prohibit being in uniform or representing the military at such event
>>Exactly correct
Unless it’s a gay pride parade, then full dress uniforms are allowed.
“My memory is that we could not participate in political events that could be violent”
That is not correct. Besides they would never expect troops to be the ones to determine that.
“Regs always prohibited troops from attending political events”
‘No, they have not. They prohibit being in uniform or representing the military at such event’
That’s probably so. I would have to review.
bttt
I wonder what the clowns’ expectations will be when Trump becomes CIC.
Will they be punished if they vote for Trump?
Actually, I do remember that and I was up on the legalities at the time since CID was already giving me a hard time.
WTH?!
Yep. Directive 1344.10
Can attend out of uniform.
I’m corrected. Apologies.
Reminds Me of an E-Mail I received from "Downtown" when I was working at The City Water Treatment Plant.
In short it consisted of don't pick on the mudslimes.
I Replied to what I thought was just My coworkers at the WTP and I basically said F-them and when they stop murdering innocent people around the World I might be open to discussions about their feelings.
Well, Ol' Fumble Fingers managed to choose the "REPLY TO ALL" and My E-Mail went out to the ENTIRE City including the Mayor and Highly Ridicules.
Things were a bit tense the next morning... But I kept My Job.🤪
Your figures are way off.
