A week ago I added cholestyramine powder (Questran) to my regimen and I have the first solid movements in weeks. I told my GI Dr and asked if he knew if there was any conflicts indicated with the pancreatic enzymes. My Drs often scratch their heads - probably wondering where I got the powder. I have been accused of being a pharmacist - which I am not. I found no mention of intetraction between the two in any prescribing info.
Necessity is the mother of invention. 👌
Yogurt alone will never ever replenish your gut flora. There’s just not enough critters in there to do it. There’s something that’s not technically called yogurt because it doesn’t use the same bacteria that is yogurt like. This “yogurt” is made with lactobacillus Reuteri or L. Reuteri (root-er-eye). You can make it at home with a L. Reuteri starter. This is in addition to the other aforementioned fermented foods. I’mma be honest, if healing involves eating I’m all in.
Bob, we regularly drink about 2-4 oz. of pure aloe juice. It is healing juice for us.
Takes away stomach and gastric distress, cleanses and heals the lining of the stomach and intestines, and helps with diarrhea.
Many friends and friends of our friends have stopped diverticulitis attacks with daily use. Closest friend (on month-long anti-biotic for diverticulitis, next step was week in hospital on a-b IV) tried it and never had another diverticulitis attack again in over a decade. He faithfully drinks it every a.m. and sometimes every p.m. as well.
“99.98% Aloe Juice”, found in the Pharmacy shelves in Walmart (UNFLAVORED , without the “flavoring”).
Another possibility is that something you are ingesting is causing continual intestinal distress, perhaps dairy.
I hope you find the cause and get much-needed relief.
