#1 Pest control slide.

#1; Squirrels and seedlings. Dollar store. $1.25. Get these and put them over your seedlings, but a rock on it. Protects until they get larger and established and squirrels leave them alone. You might be able to protect some fruits with organza bags. (Not completely. I have seen the bags on the ground torn and with smashed up fruit. It slows them down and makes them have to work for the "treat".)

Rats. Feed them chewing gum. They can't digest it. It will not kill predators like owls or hawks or snakes that can more easily catch them because they are moving slowly.

On the pest control slide ... Wheeeeee!

Check this: https://www.d-conproducts.com/learn/how-d-con-mouse-bait-works/

The latest mouse poison is cholecalciferol, aka Vitamin D3. D3 is toxic — even to humans — in large doses. A large dose for a mouse is probably therapeutic for a human.

Kill rats and mice:

Mix cornmeal and baking soda. A tablespoon here and there.
