New research on the spread of online misinformation and disinformation in Ireland has revealed that the influence of the far right is growing.
The study by the Institute for Strategic Dialogue (ISD) also shows that tech companies are failing to enforce community guidelines to curb the spread of false, misleading and harmful content on social media platforms.
The research, entitled “Uisce Faoi Thalamh: An Investigation into the Online Mis- and Disinformation Ecosystem in Ireland”, analyzed more than 13 million posts from 1,640 accounts across 12 online platforms between January 2020 and April 2023. […]
According to the research, far-right groups and individuals, as well as alternative media outlets, play a major role within the mis- and disinformation ecosystem. […]
Researchers noted that most topics are highly interconnected with the same people found to be discussing varying issues, with the closest links seen between conversations about health, Irish politics and immigration. […]
The study found that online discussions often attempted to fuel offline hostility and violence, promoting anti-lockdown and anti-immigration mobilization and encouraging protests in libraries, bookshops and schools to target the LGBTQ+ community. […]
According to the research, climate is becoming an increasingly important topic within the mis- and disinformation ecosystem, often being framed as part of the broader “culture war”. …

Far-Right = Anyone who disagrees with a liberal.
Ireland has been captured by the Far Left. The usual leftist news rags in Ireland and elsewhere in Europe paint any effort to oppose the mass third world invasion of Ireland as “anti-immigration mobilization” and deny that Leo Varadkar and his gang of lefties are purposefully destroying the country by implementing the WEF’s Great Replacement. Some of the Irish are fighting back and are therefore demonized.
Even the left’s article on disinformation is disinformation. How do they get away with it?
When the Irish call the snakes back home, and
show St. Pat the door, and
you get out, you Naz’reth Babe, don’t
show your face no more, then the
ghost of Cromwell laughs from hell, I
couldn’t kill you but just as well,
you’ll do the job quite well yourselves and
soon be joining me here.
Soros Hack Reveals Payments to Push Abortion on the Irish
Mega-rich Americans are funding the abortion push in Ireland. Why?
Thanks to DCLeaks.com and the work of journalist Kevin Jones the truth is finally out there.
George Soros, a U.S. billionaire and one of the richest people in the world, has been secretly pumping funds into the push to legalise abortion in Ireland.
In a private memo , clearly never intended to be seen by the Irish people, Soros’ foundation takes aim at Irish laws protecting unborn babies, and commits to funding three groups who will work ‘collectively’ to legalise abortion – Amnesty Ireland, the Abortion Rights Campaign, and the IFPA.
The revelations are hugely embarrassing for abortion campaigners. Under pressure after journalist Kevin Jones broke the story, all three groups admitted getting money from Soros, who Forbes estimated as having a net wealth of $24.5 billion. Soros’ foundation had requested that they use the money to overturn the Irish Constitution’s ban on abortion.
Between them, Amnesty and the IFPA admitted to getting $300,000, but the Abortion Rights Campaign, who like to pass themselves off as a grassroots organisation, refused to say how many hundreds of thousands of dollars they had received to hire activists and run glossy pro-abortion campaigns.
It’s very likely that all three groups will receive millions of dollars in the run up to a referendum on abortion. Irish abortion campaigners, who are looking to have abortion on demand legalised, are happy to use George Soros’ cash to sway voters in an Irish referendum on a highly divisive issue. It’s very likely that all three groups will receive millions of dollars in the run up to a referendum on abortion. No wonder the media are barely reporting on this leak. They don’t want voters to know that abortion campaigners are so reliant on rich foreigners for money.
But now you know – we all know. A mega-rich American is funding abortion in Ireland, and he is not alone. In fact, in recent years some 18 million dollars has come from a group of US billionaires, including Chuck Feeney and Soros, to boost the work of pro-abortion groups in Ireland.
So what, no ads for jock straps, beard cream, or male enhancement drugs or bras, tampons and menstruation medicines?
Stupid and a repression of free speech.

I wouldn’t know without seeing each individual case, but I have a really bad feeling this is a group of people on the political Left looking to just censor people whose ideas they don’t like.
Yeah, the commies are terrified they are losing on the narrative front - which makes them double-down and be willing to use even more tyranny and violence than they already do. They have always fought dirty and need to be treated accordingly.
It HAS to be a problem with the right...because the left never has this problem. /s
Keith Woods on YouTube is a great source for what is really going on in Ireland. The government is forcibly foisting immigrants in large numbers onto small Irish towns. The citizens who oppose this are the ones attacked by the government.
Give Ireland back to the Irish
Don’t make them have to take it away
Give Ireland back to the Irish
Make Ireland Irish today
My sentiments as well.
My sentiments as well.
I wonder now if Macca still feels that way.
Song was banned when it came out in the 70s. Probably would be banned today for totally different reasons.
The old soviet citizens woukd be so happy reafing this type of article. Good is winning.
