Reminds me of India in the late 1960's. Worried about population growth, India launched a vasectomies program, using the then-novel portable transistor radio as an inducement to get men to volunteer for the sterilization program. After several years, the data showed virtually no change in the birth rate despite having sterilized almost 100 million men.

Subsequent study of the data showed that India had sterilized almost the entire male population...over the age of 65!

“...the access to them is important because they hear from patients that there are some doctors who won’t do it for patients because they say they may change their mind later,”

Had mine done in 1979 after my second and last child was born. And yes, it was very hard to find a doc that would do it. But in my case not because the doc was concerned for later regretted inability to use but for the doc’s religious beliefs. I had a couple turn me down for that purpose and not for my possible premature decision. That point doesn’t seem to bo brought up often. I respect their opinion, but it needs to be understood it is a part of the decision by both the docs and the patients. Not just the mature thinking of removing the possibility of pregnancy and also trying to put it into a playing field for that immature group. There are some out there that are serious about it’s use. It was unlawful in many states for years. My father’s was done unlawfully in California. Mine was lawful.

Christian families should have as many children as God will allow. This is the only way to beat Islam…

Psalm 127: 3 Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. 4 As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. 5 Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.
