Cleebie, I think the one I remember best from my grandmother that lived to 95 was how to make a toothbrush from a Sweetgum tree twig. LOL She passed at 95 with all of her teeth! So did my dad, her son. She was a full believer in your teeth and gums keeping you healthy or not.

Another one I remember her talking about a lot was Rabbit Tobacco for colds, congestion, asthma, etc. I spent a lot of time at her house when I was a kid breathing the steam off of that stuff.

These are really, really old remedies. She was born in 1909 and used these remedies on me when I was a kid. I just turned 69. She didn’t like modern medicine or doctors.

Cleebie, pay special attention to the Rabbit Tobacco remedy. It’s a good one to know in this time of Covid and other respiratory illnesses.
