Nerd question. After our basement renovation we’re getting our VOIP phone service hooked back up. Since VOIP phones use an ethernet connection I assume someone sells Wifi VOIP phones? Would a Grandstream WP820 work? I don’t want to have to run ethernet cables from the phone modem to the phone set upstairs in our study.

A regular cordless landline phone setup should work.

I have magicjack. only 1 ethernet connection.
plug magic jack dongle into your power source. 1 ethernet from magic jack dongle to the router and one phone line from magic jack to the base phone connection. No PC connection needed. No other wiring needed. 43 bucks a year after initial costs(49.99 plus taxes etc which includes 1st year of service)

Magic Jack

I have a landline Panasonic Cordless phone system...1 base connection and 3 more airphones in the house. Bluetooth and they have headset jacks on the phones.

Panasonic KX-TG994SK DECT 6.0 Cordless Phone

Magic jack cost is so cheap, I'm paid until sept. 2031.

I'm guessing you could do that with most VOIP services.

Happy hunting

We still have our landline and cellphones. Just yesterday my TracFone renewed and I got a text saying I had internet calling now and how to turn it on. Already have used Viber for about 4 years. Great for overseas, fast.
