We still have our landline and cellphones. Just yesterday my TracFone renewed and I got a text saying I had internet calling now and how to turn it on. Already have used Viber for about 4 years. Great for overseas, fast.
I wound up totally overthinking it.There’s a phone port on my cable internet modem. All he had to do was make a call and plug our phone in. Done.
I’ll likely get a new phone set with one remote phone so we have one near the modem and one somewhere else on the first floor.
