Hey, I care 🤠! My my Mom’s side has kin that made shine and wine out of a great variety of materials just over VA/w.VA line from their roots area. It was (is?) epic. Many types of wines that they’d run off to 140-160+ proof moonshine. And those moonshines were incredible, smooth, and they’d retain a light flavor of their base material, peaches, blackberries, tomato and dandelions among a few. Always had some of both at the family reunions. My mom got a hand crank telephone from the great uncle on that side. He had a rooster that made the Tasmanian devil (cartoon) seem like a kitten…
I would like to know *why* you asked that question. What difference does it make to your life whether someone else continues to believe “The Plan” or not? Everyone can decide for him/herself whether to “believe,” “follow,” “investigate,” “hope,” “trust,” or merely “wait and see what happens.” I’m of the latter opinion, since I trust in Jesus alone. But I fail to see what difference other people’s opinions make in your life and what you choose to do. Your framing of “a simple question” is gaslighting in and of itself, if you don’t really want to know the answer. It’s a way to start an argument, based on people’s responses. Unless you are doing some kind of survey, it’s really none of your business what other people think of The Plan, and whether they are going to “walk away” or not. For you to insinuate that those who disagree with your premise in asking this question is “groupthink” is really gaslighting itself. “Let us not behave like leftists and children.” You first!

The old mountain shine was the best! It would knock you out and fire you up at the same time. Best cough med in the world. IMO, the only reason it was illegal at the time was because they couldn’t tax it. They are still around. The feds don’t care anymore because Meth cookers and other dopers are easier to catch and not as dangerous. LOL Not many Feds want to be traipsing around the Appalachians to catch moonshiners. Too many bears, timber rattlers, and wild hogs not to mention getting horribly lost. Government doesn’t like anything it can’t get a cut from, but they aren’t willing to work that hard for it.

My grandfather made homemade wine. He taught me. It’s legal for personal use so I make blueberry on occasion (not in a few years). I need to plant new bushes. Mine are about 20-years old and need to be replaced.
