It won’t stop. The progressive masses have been successfully dumbed down to the point where they will believe and do anything as long as it proves they are virtuous.
The elites have invested too much money into this boondoggle to back off now.
Enjoy the ride, assuming you can get charged up.
The leftist fantasy is that there will be electric charging stations on every corner, like gas-stations now - owned by the state, of course.
Who will build them, how many more will be needed, advanced batteries that charge in 5 minutes that don’t exist yet, where the electricity will come from - all these tiny details will be managed by our vast progressive bureaucracy using all the printed money and debt available to Fed.gov
I don’t have to imagine: I DO live in Miami. My wife drives a Mustang Mach-E. We have a home charger and she’s never had an issue. Beyond that, it’s a pleasure to drive, and I say that as someone who’s never driven anything but stick, including my daily ride of a 335i convertible that I had made to order.
Not everyone can afford to pay double for half the car as gas powered.
In defense of electric vehicles, they do have their uses. e.g. warehouse forklifts, golf carts, electric bicycles (for short trips). But they really are no logical replacement for ICE vehicles.
It’s why battery powered tools can work in many cases, while in other cases a cord is better. I hate my Dyson vacuum cleaner, that cost several hundred dollars. It’s good as a dustbuster replacement, or to clean a couple of rugs. But for serious vacuuming of wall to wall carpet or even large rooms with rugs, I still pull out my old $120 corded vacuum which is much more powerful and does a better job.
I have 32 acres, which is why I use ICE powered weed whacker , chainsaw and zero turn mower. I will pull out battery powered stuff for quick trims around the close in landscaping around the house, though.
Battery powered cars have their niche uses, but that’s about it. Usually they are most useful to people that already live close to a downtown area with awesome bus service. Those folks often don’t even have a car of any type.
not to worry
most will be on battery buses
“charged with some kilowatts”
Technical error. Kilowatt-hours
I need to modify my service entrance that was never proper in the first place to accommodate a generator and therefore provide a main disconnect to 100 and 200 amp service. Just the proper switch starts at $1,500. Never mind the difficulty of fitting it all without completely rebuilding the existing service lines. Imagine doing that over and over and over again.
As for running out of charge, it isn't as if you can get a gallon of electricity and carry it out to the highway.

And then there is my tag line.
“The leftist fantasy is that there will be electric charging stations on every corner, like gas-stations now - owned by the state, of course.”
LOL!
Gas stations are adding charging stations and will nit be owned by the state.
And most charging will be done at home.
It doesn’t matter how bad electric cars are: You will drive them “and you will be happy.”
What’s the point of socialism if you can’t force people to do what they don’t want to do?
I bet crime in and around those charging stations goes thru the roof........You’re stranded for hours at a time..............
The video was people waiting in line for public charging. NOT at home
” Never mind the difficulty of fitting it all without completely rebuilding the existing service lines.”
Most houses can easily accommodate a level 2 charger using an outlet similar to a clothes dryer. No big deal!
“The video was people waiting in line for public charging. NOT at home”
Most charging is done at home. One company is giving away a charger and installation fee with each vehicle sold.
“You’re stranded for hours at a time”
150 - 200 miles range in 15 minutes.
California is probably the worst place in the country to try to switch to EVs, since they already had constant problems supplying electrical demand when everyone was driving ICE vehicles.
That’s for your car, but there are dozens in front of you!..................
