It is the nature of Democrats to rush into foreign wars, most often with no plan for victory, and then to run away in defeat whenever the going gets tough and, most critically, when Democrats can blame Republicans for their own misconduct.
As I understand the words from new Speaker Mike Johnson, there will be another aid package for Ukraine, at some point, likely tied with more border security funding.

No, all depends on your definition of "victory".
By one definition -- defeating Vlad the Invader's wet dreams of conquering all of Ukraine -- Ukraine won that battle in early 2022.
By another definition -- Ukraine joining the EU and NATO -- those also seem eventually certain now.
But what might happen in Crimea and the Donbas is still to be determined, and how many Russian casualties Vlad the Invader's government can withstand is anybody's guess now.

I think you can be 100% certain there will be no negotiations until Russians are willing to give up something important in exchange for permanent peace.
More likely, we will end up with a situation as in Korea, now 70+ years later, still no formal peace treaty, only a "temporary" cease fire & armistice.
Russia will become, if it not already is, the new North Korea.
Vlad the Invader will become Little Kim's comrade-brother under CCP's Xi-snake domination.

Ukrainians will be vastly better off firmly allied with the EU and NATO than under domination by "mother Russia".
