They can have my red meat when they pry it from my cold dead teeth…..😁
Sounds like they didn’t get the ‘correct’ results (which is to show red meat kills), so no more federal funding for them.
If it was good enough for the preincarnate Christ, it is good enough for me.
Genesis 18:
The Three Visitors
18 The Lord appeared to Abraham near the great trees of Mamre while he was sitting at the entrance to his tent in the heat of the day. 2 Abraham looked up and saw three men standing nearby. When he saw them, he hurried from the entrance of his tent to meet them and bowed low to the ground.
3 He said, “If I have found favor in your eyes, my lord,[a] do not pass your servant by. 4 Let a little water be brought, and then you may all wash your feet and rest under this tree. 5 Let me get you something to eat, so you can be refreshed and then go on your way—now that you have come to your servant.”
“Very well,” they answered, “do as you say.”
6 So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah. “Quick,” he said, “get three seahs[b] of the finest flour and knead it and bake some bread.”
7 Then he ran to the herd and selected a choice, tender calf and gave it to a servant, who hurried to prepare it. 8 He then brought some curds and milk and the calf that had been prepared, and set these before them. While they ate, he stood near them under a tree.

And then sit alone forever from the smell?…

Garlic may help, but for me a .82 reduction is nothing. Had CRP blood test today and my CRP level was 12.02, it is supposed to be less than 5. That would take a hell of a lot of garlic. For the record I’m on Prednisone which lowers CRP rapidly and I’m still on the higher side of normal.
Neu5Gc, a sialic acid molecule found in red meat, may cause inflamation in some people due to an immune response https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xRkRilP1OTU
Last test mine was 0.59
I’m 68 and still a smoker
No.
But they are working on getting people to have allergies to meat from the tick bite in the northeast and developing alpha-gal syndrome.
I’m 63 and I vape, quit Marlboros 11 years ago. I’ve been diagnosed with GCA an Auto Immune Disease. I have to check my CRP and SED Rate monthly due to I could go blind or have a stroke if steroids don’t keep my levels normal. My CRP was at a high of 153 in April when diagnosed, which is off the charts. Drs couldn’t believe it was that high. I’ve stayed under 10 with an average of I’d say 5 or 6 CRP since April, the bummer is last months test I was at 3 which is normal and today back up to 12. Dr will probably up my prednisone dose again on Friday.
As an aside…
Another study evaluating effects of atorvastatin vs. simvastatin on atherosclerosis progression showed that hs-CRP after 1 year of treatment was decreased by 44.9% in the atorvastatin 80 mg group vs. 14.0% in the simvastatin 40 mg group.
