Human joints are not designed to jog long distances.
We can walk forever and sprint a fair amount. Jog very little.
Walking and sprinting are completely different on joints.
Indeed - walking is WAY underrated, and for someone such as the general reaching the “I’m too old for this sh*t”/crunchy knee age, likely a far better alternative.
But it really damages the ego, and takes more time than busy starman would want to expend on it.

Not true. Speaking as a jogger who stared at 14 and is still doing so 50+ years later.
What human joints are NOT meant to do is haul around an extra 80 lbs of fat!
The right shoes (eg Hoka Bondi ) and right technique which a majority of joggers don’t follow will minimize impact damage to joints. This is especially important for older adults who take to jogging.
