Wind generator blades are huge.
Some are longer than a football field - up to 350 feet long.

A single blade can cost between $2 million to $4 million dollars to manufacture.

New blades are manufactured and transported in one piece.
Just the transportation costs for a new wind generator can be between $30,000 and $100,000 determined by distance and blade size.

Old blades don't have to be transported in one piece so they are cut up at the site of the wind generator and trucked to landfills on smaller, lest costly vehicles.

Many years ago in California as we would travel from San Jose to Washington there was a massive field full of windmills that were dead and falling apart. This would have been in the 70’s. I couldn’t believe it when in the 2000’s they started pushing to have windmills everywhere knowing they don’t last
