Yes it was and when he said “We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.” The majority of the people just let that go right over their heads. Now we are in one big mess.

So true. People hear something, and they just think it means what they want it to mean. To the average Obama voter, I believe at the time they thought it to mean no more mortgage payments, no more poverty, everything was going to be sunshine and roses and unicorns. Free phones, free this, free that....I don’t think anyone thought any deeper than that....and if they got their free stuff, it didn’t really matter to them that it meant going from a free nation to a communist one.
